About this place
One of the most memorable drinks at Salut is the herbal tea, made with herbs picked from the garden. One diner recalled that the herbs were picked and brewed to order, bringing a fresh, green aroma unlike that of tea made with dried herbs. It’s an appealing choice if you’d like something other than coffee but prefer to skip a sweet drink. A wide selection of teas is also noted.
Breakfast choices include toast served with a boiled egg and salad, as well as egg toast, ham-and-cheese toast, and a mixed sandwich with salad. Go for toast for a lighter start, or choose a sandwich for something with more filling. One breakfast diner found both the flavour and portion just right, and the iced coffee also received praise. Another described the coffee as full-bodied without being too bitter. Drinks include banana, mixed-fruit and soy-milk mixed juices. Whether you pair breakfast with coffee or fruit juice, there are different ways to enjoy the meal.
Lunch ranges from meals such as chilled pork shabu-shabu, shrimp and vegetable tempura with corn rice, and oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) to beef, green and katsu curry. A diner who ordered the tempura set meal found the portion just right, though noted that it took around 15–20 minutes to prepare. The set meal may suit a leisurely lunch, while curry is an option when you’re short on time. Mixed sandwiches and egg toast are also available for a light meal or after lunch. There are choices for anything from a small bite with a drink to a more substantial lunch.
Some diners mention the garden and terrace seating, describing time spent there with a cup of herbal tea. Salut is in Kaminan, Hirano Ward, Osaka City, and offers both indoor dining and terrace seating.
